My Story
It’s a Wednesday afternoon. I’m lying on the couch with my eight week old daughter napping on my chest when I get a text from my boss's EA : “Can we schedule 15 minutes on Friday to discuss a business update?”

I knew exactly what that meant.

Barely two months after delivering my second child, I’d been laid off. You hear about stories like this all the time, but you never expect it to happen to you. Suddenly, everything felt blurry.

The truth is, I had no idea what to do next. I’d just gone through a major life change, and now I was completely overwhelmed about my professional path. Did I want to go back to the 9-to-5 life? Start something new? Here I was, with years of experience and expertise (and a newborn in my arms) trying to figure out what came next.
